கனடாத் தமிழ் இலக்கியம் பற்றி.....

கனடாத் தமிழ் இலக்கியம் பற்றிய அறிமுகக் குறிப்பொன்றினை எனது ஆங்கிலப் பக்கத்தில் எழுதியுள்ளேன். இது ஒரு திறனாய்வுக் கட்டுரையல்ல. நினைவில் இருந்த விடயங்களை வைத்து எழுதப்பட்ட அறிமுகக் குறிப்பு மட்டுமே. இதில் உதாரணத்துக்காகக் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள பட்டியல்கள் முழுமையானவை அல்ல. இதனை எனது டிவிட்டர் பக்கத்திலும் பகிர்ந்துள்ளேன்.

நடிகர் நடிகர் கேர்க் டக்ளஸ் ( Kirk Douglas) நினைவாக...

தனது நூற்றி மூன்றாவது வயதில் மறைந்த நடிகர் கேர்க் டக்ளஸ் ( Kirk Douglas) உலகச்சினிமாவில் முக்கியமானதோர் ஆளுமை. மூன்று தடவைகள் சிறந்த நடிகருக்கான ஆஸ்கார் விருதுக்குப் பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்டவர். இவருக்குக் கிடைக்காத அவ்விருது இவரது மகன் மைக்கல் டக்ளசுக்குக் கிடைத்தது. ஆனால் வாழ்நாள் சாதனையாளருக்கான ஆஸ்கார் விருது பின்னர் கிடைத்தது. இவரைப்பற்றி எனது ஆங்கில வலைப்பதிவில் ஒரு சிறு குறிப்பினை இட்டுள்ளேன். அதன எனது டிவிட்டர் பக்கத்திலும் பகிர்ந்துள்ளேன். அதனை இங்கு பகிர்ந்துகொள்கின்றேன்.

'இளம்பிறை' எம்.ஏ.ரஹ்மானுடன் ஓர் உரையாடல்!

இன்று 'இளம்பிறை' எம்.ஏ.ரஹ்மான் அவர்களுடன் அலைபேசியில் உரையாடும் சந்தர்ப்பம் கிட்டியது. முக்கியமான உரையாடல்களிலொன்று. இதுதான் நான் அவருடன் முதன் முதலாக உரையாடுவது. ஆனால் நன்கு அறிமுகமான நண்பர் ஒருவருடன் உரையாடுவதைப் போன்று உணர்ந்தேன். உரையாடல் பல விடயங்களைத் தொட்டுச் சென்றது. அவர் தனது 'இளம்பிறை' சஞ்சிகை வெளியிட்ட அனுபவங்களைப் பற்றி, 'அரசு' பதிப்பகத்தின் மூலம் நூல்கள் வெளியிட்ட அனுபவங்களைப் பற்றி எனத்  தன் இலக்கிய அனுபவங்களைப் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டார். 

வாழ்த்துகின்றோம்: அறிவியல் அறிஞரும், எழுத்தாளருமான சி.ஜெயபாரதன் அவர்களுக்கு வாழ்நாள் சாதனையாளர் விருது!

கோயம்புத்தூரில் அண்மையில் நடைபெற்ற நவீன  அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பத்தில் அண்மைய கண்டுபிடிப்புகள்  குறித்த ஏழாவது பன்னாட்டுக் கருத்தரங்கத்தில் அறிவியல் அறிஞர் சி.ஜெயபாரதன் அவர்களுக்கு வாழ்நாள் சாதனையாளர் விருது வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

கனடாவில் வசித்து வரும் திரு.ஜெயபாரதன்  அணுப்பொறியியலாளராக இருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்றவர்.  வானியற்பிய, வானியல் , பற்றும் பல்வேறு அறிவியல் துறைகள் பற்றிய இவரது தமிழ்க்கட்டுரைகள் முக்கியமானவை.இவை தவிர கதை, கட்டுரை, மொழிபெயர்ப்பு , கவிதை  என இவரது இலக்கியப் பங்களிப்பு முக்கியமானது.

காலத்தால் அழியாத கானம் - 'நேற்று வரை நீ யாரோ? நான் யாரோ?'

The late Kannadasan, a Tamil writer, poet, and film lyricist, adeptly utilized his knowledge of ancient Tamil literature in crafting lyrics. some of his popular songs were composed in this manner, including one of my personal favorites from the movie 'Vazkaip Padagu' (Life Boat or Life as a Boat), produced by the famous Gemini studio.
